# QRFern

> QRFern is a free, browser-based generator for static QR codes. QR content is processed locally in the browser. No account is required.

Open the generator in a JavaScript-enabled browser to create and download a QR code. Supported content forms are text or URL, Wi-Fi network, contact card, email, SMS message, location, calendar event, and phone number.

Customize code and background colors, data-dot shapes, eye-frame shapes, outer borders, and error recovery. Downloads are available as SVG, PNG, or JPG. SVG and PNG can have a transparent background; JPG uses the selected background color.

The print-size and scan-distance calculator provides estimates using explicit camera assumptions. Its results are not guaranteed scanning ranges. Test the exported code on the intended devices and printed material before use.

QRFern is an interactive website. It does not publish a server API, MCP server, or callable agent endpoint. Use the visible browser controls for generation and download. This file describes the public application, not user-entered QR content.
